Our coloured asphalt range is both aesthetically pleasing and can also be used to mark out boundaries.
Coloured tarmacadam offers all the functional qualities of conventional asphalt, making it the ultimate choice for highway, residential and pedestrian surfacing.
Local authorities nationwide use it to develop everything from bus lanes to pathways and leisure areas, while residential developers utilise coloured asphalts to create distinctive driveways, courtyards and footpaths.
Dublin & County Tarmacadam use specially formulated pigment with a complementary aggregate to give the asphalt its final colour. This ensures that the colour is retained throughout the aggregate and not just on the surface.
The initial binder film will weather off to reveal the true colour of the stone. Once laid the product colour will fade due to the weathering process over a period of time. The time this process takes is dependant on weather conditions and the amount of trafficking the surface receives once laid.
Please note that the colour on day one of the material being laid will fade after the weathering process has finished. Please speak to our technical team for more information.
